The third strategic partnership of 2019, ProcessMaker adds advanced SMS functionality to its workflow platform.
DURHAM, NC, Aug 14, 2019 — ProcessMaker and Ytel, a leading cloud communication platform provider, have entered a strategic partnership to accelerate the digital portfolio of each company’s offerings. The partnership is expected to leverage Ytel’s SMS and voice communication service offerings and ProcessMaker’s business process management (BPM) platform to provide customers with the ability to build SMS notifications into workflows, in order to improve internal and customer communication.
As part of the agreement, the two companies plan to integrate Ytel’s powerful conversational APIs with ProcessMaker’s enterprise workflow software. The new alliance will enable ProcessMaker users to leverage Ytel’s communications platform to easily build SMS and voice capabilities into any workflow. For Ytel, larger enterprise customers can now leverage ProcessMaker’s platform without having to build SMS APIs and custom integrations from scratch.
This functionality is critical for companies seeking automated solutions to accelerate growth and drive productivity, particularly within banking, higher education, and human resources. By integrating these offerings, the collaboration aims to help enterprises increase operational efficiency and improve customer experiences. For example, an organization using ProcessMaker could add Ytel’s communication platform to build strong processes for SMS alerts, notifications, approvals, and confirmations. Companies can now manage tasks in an organized manner, driving costs down due to time saved and enabling personnel to be more productive. Adding SMS as a complement to email as a method for notifications only further strengthens the platform and its value to users.
“SMS is proven to help drive conversations and engagement, particularly when used as a complement to traditional channels such as voice and email,” said Steve Silva, executive vice president of sales at Ytel. “People know SMS as a notification tool, but we find it’s especially effective for driving discussions and schedule coordination for salespeople, loan officers, as well as students with counselors.”
The collaboration joins two corporations recognized as prominent leaders in each prospective field of expertise. G2 Crowd lists ProcessMaker as a “leader in the enterprise BPM category” in their Summer 2019 report, with Ytel leading as a Stevie Awards Bronze winner of two categories: Company of the Year – Telecommunications Small category and Customer Service Department of the Year category.
