Veolia is a very distributed, multi-national company with presence in 48 countries across 5 continents, each with regional management and payroll requirements. The challenge was to streamline complex payroll, loan, vacation and payment requests based on highly distributed data collection from multiple locations, departments, teams and relevant data sources - which totaled up to 80+ processes each week - many of which were manual in nature. This manual information gathering process previously took up to a week, leading to delays in payment requests and affecting internal schedules, accounting procedures, and financial requirements.
